Study at home:
im my room, alone
Social network access:
yes, I have an app on my computer called self control, lets me block websites like facebook instagram for however long I want. I can focus a lot better with this.
TV:
I watch some, but only when I know I have completed homework, other work
I also do not multitask when studying. I'd rather study super hard for an hour, then totally relax for a while
Sports:
Volleyball (2 times a week, 1.5 hours each plus games on the weekend)
Physical Therapy (1 time a week, 1.3 hours)
Sometimes jogging 0.5 hour before volleyball or on the weekend.
Motivation:
I dont really think about how nice it would be to just chill and do nothing, I just imagine how I will feel after getting work done. I also know how it feels to spend a whole day doing nothing, then regretting it because you got nothing done. I just try and do it before I think of things I would rather do.
Strengths:
Organization, self motivation
Weaknesses:
Sometimes think I have a lot of time to do something, then the deadline is a few days away and I haven't done anything yet.
First day at ISD:
I was super alone, didnt know anyone and was really overwhelmed by ISD and all the people.
Tips:
Dont be shy, just go up to random people and talk to them.
Be positive!
If you don't think that you are fitting in with the people you are spending time with, just sit with someone else for a change.
Try out lots of after school activites and sports to get to know a lot of people.
Be open and don't let the new environment intimidate you.
